Get to Know Me

My father was a health and physical education teacher who inspired my interest in the human body. I find all aspects of my specialty fascinating, but I have a particular interest in conditions that affect children. My wife and I have two children. We are a family that enjoys outdoor activities and sports.

Why I Treat Children

Children are our future and treating them reminds me of the best in humanity. Their innocence and potential motivate me to advocate on their behalf. I find it very rewarding to help a child overcome obstacles so they can reach their full potential.

What I'm Passionate About

The ability to hear, taste, smell and speak is integral to the human experience. When one or more of these senses is compromised in a child, it can challenge their drive and creativity and test their family. It brings me special satisfaction to improve or restore these gifts through medical management, or in some cases, surgical intervention.

How I Try to Make A Difference

Humans are complex creatures with physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional needs. Practicing medicine in this context is important to me, even as a surgeon. I see a child in holistic terms, not just as my patient.
