Linda D. Vallino, PhD is head of the Craniofacial Outcomes Research Laboratory (CORL) in the Center for Pediatric Auditory and Speech Sciences and Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Biomedical Research at Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. She is also Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson Medical College and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Delaware.
As a clinician and clinical speech scientist, Dr. Vallino has more than 25 years experience specializing in the assessment and treatment of speech and resonance disorders in children and young adults with cleft palate-craniofacial anomalies. She serves as the senior speech-language pathologist on the Nemours Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Team in Wilmngton, Delaware.
Dr. Vallino has published papers, written book chapters and made presentations at scientific meetings in the area of cleft and craniofacial anomalies. Dr. Vallino holds dual certification in speech-language pathology and audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is also an ASHA Fellow.
