A 12-member Executive Cabinet is responsible for leading Nemours Children's, supported by members of the Nemours Leadership Team. This team is overseen by a Board of Directors and advised by Boards of Managers located in Florida and Delaware.
R. Lawrence Moss, MD, FACS, FAAP is president and CEO of Nemours Children's. With more than 25 years as an academic surgeon and physician executive, Dr. Moss became increasingly concerned by how America's health care system narrowly defines health and consistently incentivizes complexity and volume of medical services over outcomes. He joined Nemours Children's to focus the next phase of his career on transforming the definition of children's health and fundamentally changing the financial incentives determining their care.
Peter Adebi is Nemours Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Executive Cabinet, reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Lawrence Moss, MD. As a member of the Executive Cabinet, Peter’s talents as a visionary leader help shape key decisions at Nemours.
Gina Altieri is Nemours Executive Vice President, Enterprise Chief Communications Officer (ECCO) and a member of the Executive Cabinet reporting to President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Lawrence Moss, MD. Gina leads the development and execution of a comprehensive and proactive communications and brand strategy to support Nemours’ strategic goals.
Jim Digan is the Chief Development Officer for Nemours Children’s and is responsible for strategic leadership and guidance of the health system’s fundraising across its five-state footprint.
Dr. Michael Erhard's medical leadership role includes responsibilities for Nemours physician practices throughout northeast, northwest and central Florida, as well as Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida and hospitalists serving affiliated hospitals from Central Florida to Florida’s Panhandle.
Carrie W. Grant is Chief Nurse and Operations Executive (CNE) at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida. She is a member of the Executive Cabinet, reporting to Nemours President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Lawrence Moss, MD.
Dr. Mary M. Lee was appointed Vice President and Physician-in-Chief for Nemours Delaware Valley Operations in April 2018. Her medical leadership role includes responsibilities for Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, Nemours hospitalists serving affiliated hospitals, as well as physician practices throughout Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Rodney McKendree joined Nemours in 1999. He is responsible for Nemours Financial Services including Accounting and Budget, the Central Business Office, Managed Care, Compliance, Materials Management, Facilities, Information Technology, Continuous Improvement, Legal Services, and Child Health Policy and Prevention.
Jane M. Mericle brings over 40 years of health care experience to her role as Chief Nursing and Patient Operations Officer at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware in Wilmington.
Mark Mumford is Chief Executive of Nemours Delaware Valley Operations. He is a member of the Executive Cabinet, reporting to Nemours President and Chief Executive Officer, R. Lawrence Moss, MD.
Kara Odom Walker, MD, MPH, MSHS is Executive Vice President and Chief Population Health Officer (CPHO) for Nemours Children’s. She leads Nemours National Office of Policy and Prevention, as well as all aspects of Population Health Strategy, Research, Innovation and Implementation.

Daniel J. Podberesky, MD, is a pediatric radiologist, Chief Medical Officer at Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida, and Radiologist-in-Chief of Nemours Children’s. He joined Nemours in 2014 after a position as staff radiologist, Associate Director of Clinical Services, and Division Chief of Thoracoabdominal Imaging at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
