Biography

Dr. Livingston is the Division Chief of the Pediatric Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine for Nemours Children's Hospital. He has held this position for the last 28 years. Dr. Livingston holds the Professor of Pediatrics appointment at University of Central Florida College of Medicine and Associate Professor of Pediatrics appointment at Florida State University School of Medicine. He is Board-certified in both Pediatric Pulmonary and Pediatric Sleep Medicine and he has authored multiple scientific publications in journals such as, American Review of Respiratory Disease, Archives Biochemistry & Biophysics, Pediatric Pulmonology, American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology, Journal of Applied Physiology, Free Radical Biology & Medicine, Chest, Pediatrics, and the New England Journal of Medicine. He has been the Past-President of the American Lung Association of Central Florida and Medical Director of Boggy Creek Gang/ALA Asthma Camp and the AAP Asthma Medical Home Champion for the State of Florida. In 1999, Dr. Livingston received the Florida Voluntary Health Association (FVHA) Medical Volunteer of the Year Award. Dr. Livingston has been named both Orlando's Best Doctor and Top Doctor. Dr. Livingston is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He has won several teaching awards and research honors. His special research interests have been in Cystic Fibrosis, Childhood Asthma, Cellular Lung Defense and Pediatric Sleep Medicine.
