Clinical Trial

Offered by: Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville
Location: Jacksonville, Fla.

Trial Name

Remedy to Diabetes Distress (R2D2): A scalable screen-to-treat-program for school-age families

What is the trial about?

We are doing this study to learn more about diabetes distress. We want to understand how much distress children with T1D (8-12 years old) and their parents deal with. We also want to understand what levels of child and parent distress are higher than average.

Who can participate?

Male or female between the ages of 8-12, has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes for more than 6 months, and manages diabetes using either an insulin pump or multiple daily shots.

What is involved?

The study lasts 6 months. There are 2 study visits about 6 months apart. Visits may be completed remotely.

At two different times 6 months apart, the parent and child will be asked to complete online surveys that ask questions about diabetes and diabetes distress, the child will complete a finger stick using an HbA1c kit, and we will download your child’s diabetes device data..
