Get to Know Me
Dr. Kelsey Hayden is a board-eligible pediatrician who works with children and their families to provide high quality care and treatment plans. She knows that it is a parent’s goal to have their children be as healthy as possible and she is excited to help families reach this goal. Her special interests within pediatrics include nutrition and breastfeeding, and her senior conference during training addressed various topics within early childhood nutrition. Dr. Hayden graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019 and completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in 2022. She also obtained certification as a lactation counselor in 2021.
Why I Treat Children
I treat children because I love working together with families to come up with personalized goals and plans for their child’s well-being. I enjoy discussing anticipatory guidance regarding safety, nutrition, development and potential social needs of each family, in addition to providing acute sick care when needed. I like interacting with my patients through various ages and stages and forming relationships through continuity of care.

I am passionate about providing thorough and compassionate care to my patients. I want to make sure the families I treat always have the opportunity to have their concerns heard and are involved in making the best decisions for their children. I have specific interests in childhood nutrition and breastfeeding support and am a Certified Lactation Counselor. I’m looking forward to caring for countless patients over my career.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I try to make a difference by treating each patient as an individual and with the same quality that I would provide to my own family. I want to always continue learning so that I can make recommendations based on current evidence and educate medical students and residents who come to train with me at Nemours.
