Nemours CareConnect is a fast, affordable and convenient way to get help with many minor illnesses and injuries when your regular pediatrician isn’t available. Turn to us for:  

  • fever
  • cough
  • congestion
  • runny nose
  • colds, flu, upper respiratory infections 
  • mild allergic reactions
  • vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration 
  • ear, nose and throat pain or infection
  • conjunctivitis (pink eye)

If the CareConnect pediatrician determines your child needs a higher level of care than can be provided through an online visit you’ll be told what type of care your child needs, whether that’s an in office visit with your regular pediatrician, urgent care or a visit to an Emergency Department.

Step 1:  Download the App

Download the free Nemours CareConnect app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit NemoursCareConnect.com from a computer with a camera and microphone.


 

Step 2: Enroll Your Child

Complete a brief form to enroll your child so you’re ready whenever you need a visit with a Nemours pediatrician. Get Started  

 


Step 3: Choose a Doctor

All CareConnect doctors are board-certified Nemours pediatricians with special training in video health care. Simply browse the list of doctors who are online and available for a visit, view their profiles, then choose a doctor for your visit.


 

Step 4: Pay Securely Online

Online video visits cost as little as $0 depending on your insurance or $59 without insurance. Fees are due at the time of service.


 

Step 5: Start Your Visit

The Nemours CareConnect pediatrician will ask about history and symptoms before diagnosing and treating your child. If your child is already a Nemours patient, the doctor will be able to pull up their full medical record. If a prescription is needed it will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice.


 

Step 6: Receive a Visit Summary

You’ll receive a summary of the visit. If desired, the CareConnect doctor can also send the visit summary to your child’s regular pediatrician so your child’s medical record is complete.

 

Frequently Asked Questions


When you create your CareConnect account, you’ll be able to select from the list of insurance providers that cover a CareConnect visit. If your insurance company is not listed, the cost for an on-demand visit is $59. More and more participating insurance providers are being added all the time.

Your CareConnect account is created to ensure that your child can be seen by one of our pediatricians as quickly as possible, with your insurance, selected pharmacy, pertinent medical history and primary care physician information available to the doctor that you see. 

After your visit, either you or your CareConnect physician can share the notes from the visit with your child’s primary care doctor.

First, assess whether your child’s condition is an emergency. If there is a shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness or disorientation, injury involving the neck or back, or obviously broken bones go to the nearest Emergency Department or call 911.

If it’s not that serious and you’re still not sure whether your child needs to be seen in person or can be treated by a CareConnect doctor, we can help. Your CareConnect doctor will assess your child and refer you to an in-person visit if necessary. If we are unable to treat your child, you will not be charged for the visit.

CareConnect visits usually last about 10 minutes. The doctor will interact directly with you and your child — kids really enjoy it when they’re not feeling too, too bad — and if more time is needed, the visit is extended.

If your child needs a prescription for the condition being treated, the Nemours CareConnect doctor can send a prescription electronically to the pharmacy you select when you create your account. He or she can also provide a note regarding your child’s condition for school or work.

If prescription refills are needed, the doctor on CareConnect will assess your child’s health history to determine if a refill is safe at this time or whether it is necessary to see your primary care physician.

For on-demand care, available 24 hours a day every day, we have a dedicated team of board-certified Nemours physicians on call. If your child is already a Nemours patient, the notes from your child’s visit can be shared with your Nemours primary care doctor or specialist as needed.

Of course, you can also share these notes with your physicians who are not affiliated with Nemours.

Many Nemours specialists now offer CareConnect visits for scheduled appointments with their existing patients, either from their home or a more conveniently located medical office location. In that case, your child would see his or her own Nemours physician. Check with your physician’s office to see if he or she is scheduling CareConnect visits.

Most of the time if this occurs there is an error in the subscriber ID information. If your subscriber ID information is correct, call the NCC Technical Support Line at (855) 269-3556.

The only way to access receipts is on the desktop version of the site. To access your transaction receipts, please:

  1. Log into www.nemourscareconnect.com (desktop only)
  2. Select the patient’s account
  3. Click on My Account
  4. Billing Activity
  5. Claim Receipts
