    Important Things to Know

Your insurance plan may not cover all services Nemours provides, including diagnostic tests, laboratory services, behavioral health services, dental services and online video care (telemedicine). Services performed by the same physician at different Nemours locations may not be covered by your insurance. Nemours physicians and staff may not participate in (or be “enrolled” in) all of our accepted insurance plans. Always check first with your insurance provider.

Nemours does not participate with any Health Share Health Care plans also known as Health Care Share Ministries (HCSM's) to provide medical services. If you are a member of a Health Share Health Care plan or unsure of your coverage status, please contact Nemours Financial Assistance prior to scheduling an appointment.

    Coverage for Telehealth Visits

Please note that during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, most health plans are covering telehealth services, such as phone consultations and video visits. During the “public health emergency” declared by the federal government, you can access most of your primary care, specialty care and urgent care services through telehealth, and the cost of those services, or part of it, will likely be reimbursed by your insurance company. Any cost-sharing requirements that are part of your plan — such as copayments, coinsurance or deductibles — may still apply to these telehealth services. For specific information about your telehealth benefits or your cost-sharing amounts, please contact your insurance plan.
