Get to Know Me
Roger Harrison, PhD, is a pediatric psychologist with Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, Delaware, and clinical associate professor of Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. He currently serves as president-elect of the Delaware Psychological Association and chair of its diversity committee. In addition, he serves as a commissioner to the Delaware Health Care Commission, appointed by Governor John Carney.
At Nemours, he is a diversity and inclusion educator in the Office of Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI), and co-chairs the Division of Behavioral Health’s diversity subcommittee.
Dr. Harrison has a special focus on ADHD, behavior disorders in childhood, anxiety and mood disorders, and parenting.
Why I Treat Children
I developed a passion for psychology in college. I always knew I would work with children, and if I wasn’t a psychologist, I would be an elementary school teacher. I feel very blessed. I’m a big kid who never really grew up – every day is one to relish.
