Biography

Jennifer Ty, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon in orthopedics and hand surgery. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles - David Geffen School of Medicine and subsequently completed her training in orthopedic surgery at the Harvard University Combined Orthopedic Residency Program. She then completed subspecialry training in Pediatric Orthopedics at Boston Children's Hospital and followed this with a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Current employment is with Nemours Childrens Health – Department of Pediatric Orthopedics. She specializes in treating children with congenital hand conditions, such as syndactyly and polydactyly, as well as neuromuscular disorders like cerebral palsy, arthrogryposis, and brachial plexus birth injury. Dr. Ty also provides care for children who have sustained acute hand and upper trauma and post-traumatic conditions. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Pediatric Hand Study Group.
