Our Leadership: William "Bill" Higginbotham II

William “Bill” Higginbotham II was born in New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He received his undergraduate degree and completed his postgraduate accounting requirements at Stetson University in Deland, Fla. In 1992 he earned the CPA designation.

Prior to joining Nemours in 2002, Mr. Higginbotham was a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Jacksonville and Nashville offices serving both health care and other not-for-profit audit clients.

Mr. Higginbotham was appointed to the Nemours Executive Team in 2016 as Enterprise Vice President, Finance and Cost Containment; reporting to Rodney McKendree, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Higginbotham is a member of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He is a former Board member of the Child Guidance Center, as well as the North Florida Region of HFMA.

He lives in Jacksonville, Fla. with his wife, Jill, and has two children, a daughter, Jordan and son, Trey. He enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with family.
