Welcome

Welcome to the Nemours Children's Continuing Medical Education page. We hope you find what you are looking for, whether it is a conference to attend, a schedule of events or online continuing medical education.

When we started publishing online CME content in the late 90s, the concept was new. Now, however, online content for CME is no longer novel. There are multiple sites and multiple ways to obtain CME. Why then, do we continue our site?

Our reasons are simple. We believe that high-quality, unbiased pediatric medical education should be accessible to all. Nemours funds our efforts, and almost none of our content is paid for by pharmaceutical grants or outside funding. We pledge to have high-quality lectures that are focused on problems that are pertinent and important in pediatric care. Please let us know if there are topics you would like to hear about or feedback that can help us help you and your patients.

How can faculty claim credit for a lecture?

The Continuing Medical Education Office does not offer this type of credit, but you can apply directly to the AMA for this credit type (teaching at a live activity). It is two credits per hour of presentation time. Your application must include a copy of the brochure. Please note there is a cost for this process.

How do I get CME for my educational event?

Please contact your CME director to discuss the accreditation process, practice gaps, timeline, budget and staff resources.

How do I get MOC points for my educational event?

Nemours can offer American Board of Pediatrics Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment, MOC Part II points in conjunction with accredited CME activities. The activity must include a comprehensive evaluation and self-assessment that meets ABP guidelines. If a CME activity is approved for MOC Part II points, instructions for earning MOC Part II points and an accreditation statement will appear in program materials. If you would like to learn more about how to design and accredit an activity which offers both CME and MOC Part II points, please contact your local CME office.

CE Broker

Do you report my credits to CE Broker directly?

Effective September 2019, The Nemours Children’s Health System became an approved provider by the Florida Board of Medicine. This means that we directly report AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ earned by physicians for our Nemours accredited activities to CE Broker.

The Office of CME uploaded all physician license data into our learning management system, CME Tracker. We have established a process with the Office of Medical and Professional Staff Services to upload Florida license data for newly appointed Nemours physicians.

What if I don't see all my credits in CE Broker?

Please contact Evelyn Crenshaw with questions regarding any issues with Nemours accredited activities not showing up in CE Broker.

Instructions on how to pull transcripts

1. Go to https://cmetracker.net/NEMOURS/

2. Click CME Transcript (located on the left navigation bar).

3. You will be prompted to sign into your account: Enter your email address and password.

If you do not remember your password, click "Forgot Password." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.
If "Forgot Password" does not work, then click "Create Account." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.

4. Enter the begin/end date for your transcript.

5. Click submit and the transcript will be downloaded.

How do I print out a transcript for someone else?

1. Go to CME Transcripts

2. Enter the email address for the person.

3. Enter “nemours” as the password.

4. Select beginning and ending dates of the transcript.

5. Click submit and a new window will pop open with the requested transcript.

On-Demand Learning

How do I access an online activity if I was timed-out or had to leave before I was completed?

Follow these instructions to return to the online activity

1. Log into CME Tracker.

Enter your email address and password.

If you do not remember your password, click "Forgot Password." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.
If "Forgot Password" does not work, then click "Create Account." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.

2. On the left navigation bar, select Registration History.

3. A list of your registered events will appear. Select the blue Resume Activity button.

How do I print out the CME Certificate of Completion?

Follow these instructions to print the certificate for your records:

1. Log into CME Tracker.

Enter your email address and password.

If you do not remember your password, click "Forgot Password." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.
If "Forgot Password" does not work, then click "Create Account." If the system recognizes your email address, a code to reset your password will be sent to your email address.

2. On the left navigation bar, select Credit History & Past Certificate.

3. A list of your credits will appear. Select the blue Print Certificate button.

Once signed-in, your transcripts will appear on the page. Enter the begin/end date for your transcript.

Does Nemours still offer accredited online education?

Yes, the Nemours Office of CME offers a variety of on-demand modules.

This on-demand library of select continuing medical education activity recordings is available to clinicians to watch at any time.  Modules range from 30 minutes to an hour and vary in credits available. Individuals register for the module and watch the video, then complete a quick assessment and evaluation to claim your credit.
