RN Residency Program at Nemours Children’s Hospital
Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH) offers a new graduate RN Residency program. This one-year program includes education and training designed to transition newly graduated registered nurses from students to safe, competent professionals.
The program's main goals are:
- to provide a comprehensive, standardized approach designed to transition a new graduate RN into professional practice
- to continuously improve the quality of patient care through the ongoing development of competent and safe beginning level clinical nurses
A formalized residency program will benefit the patients and families, the professional practice environment, and the organization as a whole through the focus of quality, safety and the patient experience. The program is also grounded in evidence-based practice and competency validation.
We will post new graduate opening(s) to the HR job site when we start the recruitment process for the next cohort. The entire recruitment process may take 90 days, so we begin the process well in advance of the start date.
