Growing up in Ocean City, NJ, I was active in track and cross country and always loved science. Before medical school, I majored in psychology with a focus on child development at Duke University. I find it extremely rewarding to work with children and always knew I wanted to be a pediatrician.
Why I Treat Children
The doctors I had as a child were role models for me. Both of my parents are educators and they also inspire me to want to make a difference. I feel it is a privilege when families put their trust in me and allow me to care for their children.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about education and working with the physicians in our fellowship program. I hope to be an inspiration for medical students and residents the way that my mentors at Thomas Jefferson University were for me. I also believe in adding to our medical knowledge through continuing research.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I take the time to get to know my patients and their families. I believe all children should enjoy a high quality of life, and I strive to treat my patients so they can excel in school, participate in sports and other activities, and spend time with their family and friends.
