Get to Know Me
I really enjoy working with children. Add in the strong impression my doctor made on me when I was a young girl, and the choice to practice pediatric medicine was a natural one.
Why I Treat Children
I find working with children refreshing. They are full of energy, honest, resilient, and fun. They keep you on your toes — you never know what they might say or do. I enjoy helping to make children happy and healthy.
What I'm Passionate About
I grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania, in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. I come from a family of educators and feel that I continue this tradition of teaching by helping to educate families as well as the next generation of clinicians. As a kid, I was always curious. I was also an asthmatic and so I saw my pediatrician often. I was always impressed by how kind and how knowledgeable she was, and by how much she helped my family and me. She was a big reason I decided to go into medicine, so I could help others like she helped me.
Make A Difference
I try to make my interactions with each family enjoyable and satisfying. As a mother, I know how stressful it is for a family when their child is ill. I strive to help families through these difficult times and to provide them with the best possible care.
What I Do For Fun
I spend most of my free time with my husband and son. I love watching my young son explore and discover. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, exercising, travelling, and watching movies.
