Why I Treat Children
Caring for children, from birth, is a prime opportunity to set individuals and families on a path to a healthy life and promising future. Children have immense potential, and I love being part of a team with parents and caregivers, guiding families through challenges, celebrations, and growth to ensure that potential is reached. Children also bring out the joy and authenticity in every moment and interaction and remind me of the importance of this work.
What I'm Passionate About
As we learn more about the care of babies with unique health challenges at the beginning of life, I am passionate about working within the Division of Neonatology and in partnership with other teams to ensure access for families to the most innovative therapies and interventions, beginning at birth in the delivery room.
How I Try to Make A Difference
It is important to me that each and every family with a child in need of our care feels supported and cared for holistically as they navigate what is a stressful and uncertain time. I hope that an individualized approach and high-touch care can help not only ease a difficult transition when a baby is born with unique health challenges, but also celebrate each birthday and precious addition to every family.
