Nemours Children's Health at TidalHealth Nanticoke

Children and teens are different from adults and need specialized care. That’s why Nemours Children’s Health collaborates with TidalHealth Nanticoke to offer pediatric expertise and equipment in southern Delaware. 

Here, we combine our advanced pediatric care with Nanticoke’s highly trained nursing staff, pharmacists, therapists and social workers. This cooperation demonstrates our shared belief that kids do better when we work together.

What Nemours Offers at This Location

Nemours pediatricians are available around-the-clock at Nanticoke for:

• Emergency Department (ED) care — Our pediatric specialists provide consultations for children and teens in the hospital’s ED, as needed. That means Nanticoke’s physicians ask our pediatric specialists for their expertise in order to give children the best possible care from doctors who treat kids every day. 
• Newborn care — Our specialists also provide their pediatric expertise for newborns at the hospital’s family-friendly, Mother & Baby Care Center.
• Pediatric unit care — A team of Nemours pediatric hospitalists (board-certified pediatricians who are experts in treating hospitalized infants, children and adolescents) provides care in the hospital’s dedicated pediatric suite, with rooms specifically for children and teens. 

Additional Services

Nemours and Nanticoke also work together to:

• Facilitate the transfer of extremely ill pediatric children to Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware in Wilmington, Del.
• Coordinate care, when needed, with our specialists and primary care pediatricians at Nemours Children's Health, Seaford and at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware.
