Get to Know Me
I specialize in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, or ""lazy eye."" I grew up in Central Illinois, and went to college and medical school at Southern Illinois University. I did my residency at St. Louis University and a fellowship at Washington University/St. Louis Children’s Hospital. I have been helping children in Central Florida since 2008.
Why I Treat Children
I chose pediatric ophthalmology because I truly enjoy working with children. Kids just always seem to brighten my day. I love being able to make an impact early in someone's life when it can have a lifelong positive effect.
What I'm Passionate About
I'm passionate about providing care in an efficient and effective manner. This often requires a team effort, so it is really important to me to get to know my patients' families as well as I can.
Make A Difference
I try to make a difference by caring for patients and families as if they were my own. I work hard to listen and to communicate clearly.
What I Do For Fun
I enjoy spending time with my family. We're an active family, so you can often find me on the sidelines at one of my children's many sporting activities. I personally enjoy running marathons, cycling and golf. Living a very active, healthy lifestyle is a priority of mine.
