Humana Insurance Update

We are pleased to inform you that Nemours Children’s Health has reached an agreement with Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida (Humana).
With this agreement, Nemours Children’s will remain a participating provider for Humana members. Patients can continue to see their Nemours Children’s provider(s) with no disruption.
An important part of our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the children and families we serve is maintaining strong partnerships to ensure patients can access the high-quality, specialized care we provide. This agreement is a reflection of that commitment.
Important Things to Know:
- The health and well-being of patients has been our top priority throughout this process.
- Effective immediately, Nemours Children’s and Humana have reached an agreement.
- This agreement applies to care and services delivered by Nemours Children’s providers at all locations throughout the state of Florida, including primary care and partner facilities.
How long is your agreement with Humana?
Our agreement does not have an end date and we look forward to a long and successful partnership well into the future.
How does this agreement impact my child’s care with Nemours Children’s?
With this agreement, Nemours Children’s will remain a participating provider for Humana members, and your child can continue seeing their Nemours Children’s provider(s) without disruption.
Is my child’s currently scheduled appointment and/or surgical procedure impacted by the new agreement?
No. Appointments, surgical procedures, and treatments that are already scheduled are not impacted and can proceed as planned.
What should I do if I tried to schedule an appointment for a date after October 1, 2025, but was unable to do so?
If you attempted to schedule an appointment for a date on or after October 1, 2025, and were unable to do so, please contact your Nemours Children’s scheduling department to make your child’s next appointment.
What You Can Do Now:
- Proceed with currently scheduled appointments and treatments with your Nemours Children’s provider(s) without disruption.
- If you need to schedule care or treatment for your child, please contact your provider or Nemours Children’s scheduling department to make your child’s next appointment.
