Psychology & Psychiatry

Nemours pediatric psychology health team provides outpatient services

A child psychologist or a child psychiatrist is a mental health expert with advanced training in helping children and teens with emotional and behavioral problems. Nemours’ pediatric psychology and psychiatry health team provides outpatient consultation to young people dealing with the stress of a chronic medical condition, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. We also provide consultation for children admitted for medical and/or surgical care who may also be experiencing emotional and/or mental health issues. (Please note: We are not an inpatient psychiatric treatment facility for children or teens.)

Nemours’ pediatric mental health experts have advanced training in helping children and teens with emotional and behavioral problems. Most locations also offer pediatric neuropsychology services — which looks at how medical conditions can affect thinking. To ensure your child gets the high quality of care and support needed, our pediatric psychology and psychiatry team partners with other providers and agencies in your community.
