Making Your Appointment
Nemours duPont Pediatrics provides primary pediatric care for newborns, children, and teens throughout Delaware Valley, southeast Pennsylvania, and South New Jersey. With 11 offices in Delaware and two in Pennsylvania, our physicians and advanced practice nurses offer the best in preventive, routine, and sick child care in a family-centered environment.
You don’t need a referral to make an appointment at Nemours duPont Pediatrics, just call the office. When you call, we’ll collect some information such as:
- your child’s name and address
- date of birth
- parent phone numbers (home and cell)
- insurance information (including parent social security numbers)
- photo ID
- medical and pharmacy insurance cards
- preferred pharmacy name and phone number
- names and dosage of all medications, including over-the-counter medication, your child is currently taking
- guardianship and custody papers, if a legal guardian rather than a parent accompanies your child

Children should be seen for “well-child” check-ups to make sure they’re growing up healthy at:
- 1 to 3 days of birth for breastfed newborns
- within the first 2 weeks after birth
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 1 year
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
- 2½ years
- 3 years
- 4 years
- around every birthday every year after that
At each visit, we’ll check your child’s growth, development, overall health, and give any recommended routine immunizations.
