At Nemours Children's Health, Rockland Road, we see pediatric patients for primary care needs such as well-child checkups, sick visits and immunizations. We want to be your child's medical home within the hospital, so our practice provides well-coordinated, quality care with expanded hours for your convenience. Our services include:
Our office is located at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, which means you and your child have immediate access to on-site:
Our practice has been awarded Patient-Centered Medical Home™ (PCMH) Level 3 Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). As part of our “medical home,” your child's primary care provider leads a care team dedicated to addressing your child’s comprehensive health care needs — arranging care with other qualified professionals as needed. The care team may include our doctors and nurses, care coordinators, psychologists, social workers and/or lactation consultants.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany your child for the first visit. If a legal guardian rather than a parent accompanies your child, the guardian must bring guardianship and custody papers for your child to be seen.
As a pediatric teaching hospital, our practice includes doctors who have finished medical school and are now in a three-year training program (called "residency") to become pediatricians. Nemours pediatricians (called "attending pediatricians") oversee the residents' work. Your child may have a resident who'll be their primary care provider (PCP). We expect that, over the course of three years, you'll form good relationships with your resident and attending pediatrician. When your resident PCP graduates, we'll assign a new resident PCP on the same day of the week so that you can continue your relationship with your attending pediatrician. And you can always request a specific PCP if you'd like.
Note: Residents are not listed here, but you can still call to make appointments with them.
We're located inside the Outpatient Entrance within Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (at the Rainbow Module).
We offer free parking at the outpatient parking lot at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware. Valet parking is a flat fee of $5 (unless a handicapped tag is present, then there is no charge).
We have taken every possible precaution to make sure our locations are safe for you and your children, including:
