Helping Kids With Serious Illness

Nemours Children's Partners in Advance Care Team (PACT) gives kids with serious illnesses the best days possible. We work with children and families dealing with pain and other challenges from illness or treatment.

Our doctors, nurses, therapists, psychologists, social workers and others shape services to your child’s needs. We provide pain and symptom management, rehabilitation, integrative therapies like healing touch and meditation, creative therapies and pet therapy.

We work with your child’s medical team and help you set goals and make decisions about care. We connect you to community resources and home health services if needed. And we help you cope. Whether it’s through spiritual guidance, counseling or support groups, we’re here how and where you need us.

Children we care for each year

We’re experts in palliative care. Our pediatricians are board-certified in hospice care and palliative care. We also have pain management experts, rehabilitation therapists and nurses skilled in this care.

We offer supportive services. Our Child life specialists, social workers, pastoral care team and others have experience in the effects of life-changing illness. We support the whole family.

We focus on living well. While we do offer end-of-life hospice and bereavement care, our focus is on your child’s very best life. We’re here from diagnosis, for as long as you need us

We’re involved in important research. Our program is part of the Pediatric Palliative Care Improvement Network. We offer the latest research-based therapies, and help kids everywhere get the best possible care.
