At Nemours, our team of sports medicine physicians, concussion specialists, athletic trainers and physical therapists provide customized care for young athletes. We base our care on the most advanced, accepted medical approaches. Our goal: To help athletes recover, build their strength and stay injury-free.
The sports medicine team is part of the pediatric orthopedics department at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children (Wilmington, Del.), which is consistently ranked among the top children’s hospitals in the country for orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report

- ImPACT® (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) – measures thinking processes
- BESS (Balance Error Scoring System) – assesses balance
- SOT (Sensory Organization Test) – assesses balance and stability
- King-Devick Test – evaluates eye movements
The 76ers Fieldhouse is the future home of the 76ers’ NBA G League Team, the Delaware Blue Coats (formerly the Delaware 87ers), Nemours Sports Medicine, the Titus Sports Academy and Future Soccer Stars Foundation. Supporting youth basketball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse and other sports, the site features three full-sized, professional basketball courts, two indoor turf soccer fields, and a world-class sports performance and training area.
