Advanced Practice Nursing Fellowship

Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children

As an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program hospital, Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is particularly well-suited to offer this pediatric primary care Advanced Practice Nursing Fellowship. The 12-month postgraduate program features continuity clinics, specialty care rotations and protected learning time.

Our Fellowship Program

This fellowship will prepare you to provide safe, effective and high-quality care in independent practice. An on-site nurse practitioner mentor and expert advanced practice nurses will guide you through pediatric subspecialties and behavioral health rotations.

The 50-week program includes:

  • 20 weeks (100 days) at mentored, primary care continuity clinics (40 percent)
  • 17.4 weeks (87 days) in pediatric subspecialty rotations, including cardiology, emergency medicine, neurology, orthopedics, and hematology and oncology (35 percent)
  • 7.5 weeks (37.5 days) in behavioral health rotations (15 percent)
  • 5 weeks (25 days) in didactic sessions (10 percent)

About Our Hospital in Delaware

The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is a multispecialty, tertiary care teaching institution located on a 300-acre estate in the scenic Brandywine Valley in Wilmington, Del.

Application Requirements
Deadline June 30, 2018
  • MSN or DNP graduate of an accredited pediatric nurse practitioner program
  • PNCB or ANCC board certification as a PNP
  • Delaware licensure as an RN and APRN
